Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium

Ripley's Believe It or Not! is a franchise started in 1918 as a newspaper cartoon panel featuring unusual and startling facts from around the world. Ripley first displayed his collection to the public at the Chicago World's Fair in 1933. He called it Ripley’s Odditorium and it attracted over two million visitors during the run of the fair. As of August 2006, there are 29 Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditoriums around the world.
